In sheltered caves around the world are crude drawings of a body larger than an isle, made in pigment and past. The ancient Greek speak of Atlantis and its heart, which sunk into the ocean never to be seen again because of human vice and avarice. Century after century haunted sailors would come back with tales of ships who would disappear into a shore-shaped fog, never to return, never to be heard of or remembered for the next hundred years that would come. And now in this century, the 20th century, those tales circulate the world again... but this time, the tale is different: those involved have reported back, and what they have found defies all explanation.

The Island has come into being for perhaps the last and final time, a promise hidden within mystery after mystery of riches, of technology, of understanding and salvation. Amongst the bickering nations of the world there has been no time wasted in perforating the fog that surrounds this strange phenomena, and on the whisper of that same promise hundreds of brave individuals from all around the world have been conscripted to dive into its depths— you included. Whether arriving on vessels that wave the flag of nations, of unity, of profit or of nothing at all, you and your team are one of the lucky ones that get to take on the

many lurking hazards and dangers.

From glowing undergrowth to scorched badlands to ruins not made by any man, the expedition you are about to set on will delve deep into this alien machination of biology and tech; of docility and war, and within this vast, living wilderness there are mysteries to solve and countless crevices and cracks to explore.

While persevering in the face of perils both alive and not, you will draw ever closer to the beating heart of this place and come to understand where you are, what you were, who you’ve become... and why you shouldn’t be there.
